In a shocking (but not entirely surprising) move, Megyn Kelly has called out Robert De Niro, calling him “extremely stupid.”
“I don’t understand how someone so smart could say such stupid things,” Kelly said of De Niro. “He’s clearly out of his mind.”
Kelly didn’t elaborate on what prompted her to make such harsh comments. However, it appears the two have a history of disagreements.
“I’ve disagreed with De Niro on many things over the years,” Kelly said. “But this is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard him say.”
De Niro has not publicly responded to Kelly’s comments. However, some have speculated that he may have made controversial comments about Donald Trump.
“I’m not surprised De Niro would say such stupid things,” one Twitter user wrote. “He’s a conservative liberal.”
“Megyn Kelly should stop criticizing De Niro,” wrote another. “She’s just trying to get attention.”
It’s unclear at this point whether the Kelly-De Niro spat will escalate. But one thing’s for sure: It’s caused some noise in the entertainment world.
And in a related development, Kelly also announced that she’s developing a new TV show called “The Megyn Kelly Show.” The show will air on Fox News and will focus on political and cultural issues.
“I’m so excited to bring this show to audiences,” Kelly said. “I think it will be a great addition to the Fox News lineup.”
